STAFF SPOTLIGHT: MRS. GRAHAM

The latest edition of Meet McKnight features another student favorite, Mrs. Graham!  

Mrs. Graham has worked in the Cafeteria at McKnight for 10 years! Your students are used to seeing her smile EVERY DAY as they choose what they want for lunch and share their stories with her.  Let's learn more about her!

PFA:  How do students know you?

JG:  The students know from the cafeteria - I'm a lunch lady!

PFA:  What is your role at McKnight?  

JG:  As a cafeteria worker, there's a lot of preparation that goes into feeding the kids every day. I'm responsible for preparing all of the fresh fruits and veggies to serve on the line. There are so many choices for the kids! I wash and cut up the fresh produce and I also run the register when the kids come through the line. And of course, cleaning! There are always dishes to wash, floors to sweep, and tables to clean.

PFA:  My favorite thing about working at McKnight is:  

JG:  I love the kids! Every day there's a sweet smile or fun story they share. I only see them for a few short minutes but they're amazing.

PFA:  My favorite hobby is:  

JG:  Traveling! I love exploring new places and having adventures.

PFA:  When I'm not at McKnight, you can find me:  

JG:  Teaching piano lessons! (I'm also a piano teacher) and playing with my golden retriever Nessie.

PFA:  Is there anything you’d like to share with us or anything else you think our school community would find interesting?

JG:  I'm a Veteran! I served in the Army during Desert Storm as a maintenance officer. I'm also married to a soldier, and we have lived all over the world. He is still on active duty in the Army Corps of Engineers.
