Dress Up Days September 2023
Every month McKnight Elementary holds days where students can participate by dressing up! These fun and interactive days help build our school spirit and oftentimes help great causes as well! McKnight Elementary teams up with a variety of non-profits including The Education Partnership. Learn more about September’s days below.
Friday, September 1st
Black and Gold Day
The first Friday of every month is Spirit Day at McKnight. Typically students show their pride by wearing their grade level tee shirts. Because these shirts are still being ordered for the year we are encouraging our students and staff to wear the NA colors black and gold for September!
Friday, September 15th
International Dot Day
International Dot Day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot. You can learn more on the International Dot Day website here.
So, pull out your circles, spots, and polka dots on September 15th!
This is our first dress up day supporting The Education Partnership. If you’re able, we encourage you to please send your child in with a $1 donation to support this great cause. *Please remember donations are never required for participation, if you are unable to donate at this time your child is still encouraged to participate.
Friday, September 29th
Disney Day for Kinsley’s Kickers
Wear your favorite Disney gear to help support a great cause! This is another day we ask you to please bring a $1 donation to support a cause near and dear to the McKnight community.
Disney day will support the amazing Kinsley’s Kickers team for the upcoming 29th Annual Pittsburgh Buddy Walk® taking place on Sunday, October 15th! Ultimately all donations will go to support the Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh.
If you would like to make additional donations to support Kinsley and the team you may do so on their team page here.
